NSIP and treatments

I was diagnosed with NSIP in November 2008 (was never given a prognosis only that it is not cureable only treatable), I was on 40 mg of prednisolone with has now been decreased to 10mg daily, they tried azathirprine but I had an allergic reation to it so they put in Microphenolate 1g twice daily, my CT scan shows and increase in inflamation (inflammation) and my Lung functions has decreased so they are now going to put me on cyclophoshamide one dose intravenisley every month.  What the long term effects of being on this medication? What are the likely side effects?
