by Patti46, Feb 24, 2009 04:26PM
Here are my results of PFT:

FVC - 107%
FEV1 - 110%
FEV1/FVC - 101%
FEF25-75% - 140%
FEF 75% - 101%
PEF - 162%
TLC - 107%
VC - 115%
RC - 93%
RV/TLC - 86%
DLCO - 78%
DL Adj - 78%
DLCO/VA  - 111%

Are these good numbers for a 46 year old, 60" tall female?

by National Jewish Health, Mar 05, 2009 05:07PM
Yes, these are very good numbers save for the DLCO, which is borderline low.  Given that many of your values, including the TLC and VC, are slightly above average and the RV/TLC ratio slightly decreased, it is surprising that the DLCO /VA is slightly above average.  This is probably of no significance and probably reflective of the margin of error in DLCO determinations.  You should discuss this with your doctor, but you clearly have good lung power.
