25 yr male, had some breathing problems.

All spirometry and lung volume tests wer 95-105% Pre ref, all good. However, why is my diffusion so high? Had many blood tests, but were 2 years ago, anyways normal blood, normal red cells..ect...

Hey, this was what was on the paper.

It is not well known, but an elevated diffusing capacity is characteristic of asthma, although usually not this high.  If a valid measurement, it is not a problem but, at this level, one would have to be concerned about the accuracy of the test.  Breathing problems at age 25 are most commonly due to asthma, but that should not just be assumed.  There are lung diseases, other than asthma, that can occur at this age.  You should ask your doctor about asthma, but should also have a good exam of your lungs and should have a chest x-ray done, to rule out unsuspected underlying lung disease.
