high to low altitude

Last year experienced shortness of breath when we droped from 8000 feet to 1000 feet in one day, on our motorcycle (trike) Should I be on oxgen as I come down? also dose anyone know what SPO2 readings I should be at all times...I know that below 88 reguires O2  thanks.

Most confusing. The closer to sea level you are, the more oxygen you have. You are talking about a reverse altitude sickness, and I do not see how that can be. At sea level most people have a blood oxygen of about 98%. Those who live at higher altitudes may have a level of 94%.
