Is your doctor a specialist? Do you take any medications for the illness? Do you have any symptoms of COPD? Do you suffer shortness of breath? If you answer no to all of these, go to a lung specialist who will perform diagnostic tests. Anyway I do not see how COPD would cause pain around the kidneys.
