I would say that you should cut out all fried foods, red meat, drink a lot of water, as much as you can. Eat the foods on Randy's list for the week. Everything you eat, drink goes through your liver so puts a strain on your liver.
As Randy said you really do need to find out what is going on. I understand that for right now you just want to know what you can do to improve your test for a job. Good luck
I am only saying this as once many years ago I had elevated enzymes and thought that perhaps it was a result of not eating right and taking medications so I did this in 2 weeks they came down. One week is not much time
Good luck

It is hard to say what has caused the damage to your liver based on the information you have provided. Treating or eliminating the cause is the most effective way to help your liver.
From this point on you should avoid any use of alcohol or medications not prescribed by your physician. No smoking anything. Maintain a healthy diet avoiding processed or greasy foods, this means no fast food. Eat foods that are prepared healthy and high in antioxidants such as:
blueberries
raspberries
cranberries
raisins
apples
beans
artichokes
russet potatoes
pecans
walnuts
hazelnuts
This will assist your liver in ridding it of free radicals attacking your liver. Drink plenty of water unless otherwise advised by your physician. Good luck.
Randy
Thanks,
This will take a bit time, is there any advice for this specific week for 2nd blood test for job. After that I will contact and will follow as stated by you.
Hello and welcome to MedHelp.
Normal limits for ALT/AST vary slightly from clinic to clinic. On average they may range 4-40 for ALT and 7-56 for AST. As you can see yours are quite elevated. Determining the cause for this is crucial so that it may be eliminated. Failure to eliminate the cause may result in liver disease.
If it has not already been done you should have a complete blood count and comprehensive metabolic panel ran to evaluate other blood lab characteristics. From this point your doctor may decide a specialist (gastroenterologist or hepatologist) is needed to test for liver damage.
I hope everything turns out okay for you, please let me know if there is any other questions I can help you with.
Randy
