Clueless about Cirrhosis!

In 2002 I was diagnosed with Lupus, in 2004 when I first met my specialist physician who's now treating my S.L.E - she casually mentioned before discharge that I had cirrhossis. Again she mentioned how bad I was when I went for an app, when I was pregnant in 2008. I always presumed it was an infection of the liver, which would heal in time! Since 2004 I've been in + out of icu (due to my liver + lupus)! Just last week, I read somewhere about cirrhosis - scarring of the liver, which I now understand does not heal by itself in time! If my immune system(lupus) "attacks" my liver, is that a new scarring (cirrhosis) every time I land up in hospital?

I do take prednisone, plasmaquine, ecotrin - lupus. Please can you clue me up on cirrhosis, as I honestly don't know much about it.

Does your doctor know what Stage of Cirrhosis your liver is in?
Do you have fibrosis,if so what Stage?
How long have you had Cirrhosis?
If you have Early Stage your Liver can heal itself over time.If you have Lab results we can help answer your Questions. It takes a long time (years of damage) for you to get to Cirrhosis.I am clueless to Lupus.
