                I actually use both and that seems to keep in under control better.

This post was made a few months back. That is exactly what I am doing now to. I take the xifaxan daily but when I feel the ammonia affecting me more and more the I use both for about a week.

When I was seeing my doctor, they gave me nothing for the confusion.  Said they wanted to wait until I don't know who I am at all.  Then they will give me the meds.

That sounds terrible!  The meds are to prevent you from feeling this way. You need to be seeing a different doctor! How long have you been feeling the effects of HE?
