bitter taste in mouth

I have bitter taste in mouth. My doctor said yeast infection but the jell he gave did not change the situation. I think it is due to liver. Could it be?

In my liver tests over last year ast and alt are in the normal range but always ast is a litle bit higher than alt. For example, in my last test ast:21, alt:19, platelets:173. I have read papers saying in nash cirrhosis ast/alt becomes greater than one as thw disease progress. But i am not sure if this is valid for enzymes in the normal range also. Any idea?

No.   You have a yeast infection in your mouth a type of thrush.  It doesn't clear up quickly normally.  Should it continue you should ask your Dr for a prescription refill.  I've had this before and its rather annoying, but given time will clear.  It's not liver related.
