my dad went from GI bleed to detox and now uncncious non-responsive
we called ambulance for my dad 12 or 13 days ago because he could not walk or barely move.when he got to hospital they determined he had a GI bleed he has been a full alchoholic 1/2 gallon of whiskey a day for a long time. He was kinda loopy but could still talk and knew what was going on. So they air lifted him to san jose hospital by the time I got there they said that he was aggressive so they sedated him he could open eyes but not talk they said it was because of the detox process now they are saying he is critical back in ICU why is he not waking up could it be due to high ammonia levels
This is certainly not good news, I am sorry to say
