Most ENT's blame will ask if you've ever been exposed to loud noises and blame it on that, run a few tests on your hearing, then hand you a pamphlet and send you on your way. I've spent years researching it and it's usually triggered by a medication that causes dehydration, an antibiotic, junk food, can be a virus etc. The main thing is if you are really feeling stressed contact someone at ata.org. They can give you some advise on the causes what to do to reduce it. Don't know your medical history but getting to the obvious causes while it's still new is important. The pressure in your ears can be fluid or inflammation so finding out what causing that is important. Try to look at the ringing as a wake up call that you need to take real good care of yourself so look at it as a good thing that when you eliminate stress, bad foods, exercise you'll start to notice how much that effects the ringing. There's a good chance that it will go away but the odds of that happening go way up if you take good care of yourself and eliminate as many bad things and stress as you can. a common cause of tinnitus is anemia....and anemia is often associated with liver disease.  So yes, there is quite likely an association (albeit an indirect one) between the two!

An ENT doc can test up to a point. A full feeling in your ears is a sure sign that there is inflammation and maybe fluid. When tinnitus first starts you really notice it because your brain sees it as a threat. After a couple of weeks it will be reduced because it will be something that falls in the background. The best thing to do is buy a high fidelity cd that has just the sound of light rain. If its an environmental noise your brain will mask the sound and you wont notice the ringing. Turning on a radio just makes it worse for most. I have severe tinnitus and most doctors will just tell you to do everything you can to not restrict blood flow. That means keep your blood pressure down, get on an anti inflammatory diet, reduce weight, drink lots of water, stay away from salt, sugar, dairy products, fatty foods ect. I've gone through the tinnitus retraining therapy and its helped a lot. Pain meds and some antibiotics will bring it on and most people will develop tinnitus if they live long enough. Liver disease doesn't cause it but it is one of the things that comes alone with liver disease because of all issues associated with it.

Hi there
Ringing in the ears or Tinnitus is not caused by liver disease.   You may have a possible ear infection or perhaps trauma to your ear drum.   A good Ear Nose Throat Dr will be able to help you out.
Good Luck
