Hi I can see that your ALT and GGT is elevated other than that you look ok.
If you had any alcohol before the test this could affect your results.

So...your gastroenterologist has scheduled a CT scan for you in two weeks?
Your gastro says you are ok
Your family doctor said you are ok and told you not to see the infectious disease doctor?

The infectious disease doctor is the only one stating you have cirrhosis?

Sorry to repeat what you said, I am trying to understand.

I can understand this is all so confusing.

thank you , flyinlynn ! my gastroenteroloist , he is also a hepatologist liver specicalist , he said that I i am fine because ultrasound sometimes cannot detect cirrhosis on the liver and he isnot recomanded me to do a biopsy cuz it is dangerous , he made an appointment for me on 2 weeks later to do a CT , and this morning my family doctor called me and tell me dont worry too much u will be fine and i dont need to see my infectious disease doctor anymore. thanks again for helping.

Your gastroenterologist is a specialist in all things in the abdomin. You infectious disease doctor specializes in just that infectious disease.

Can you ask him why he said you have cirrhosis when your when your gastroenterologist says you are fine. He would be the one to ask that question.

If possible you should see a hepatologist a liver specialist they should be able to give you a good and clear answer

Good luck

Have a IU ever had a liver biopsy? That is the he gold standard for diagnosis of cirrhosis. Why have you been having 6 months blood tests and abdominal ultrasounds? Is your doctor a hepatologist?

Can you post the results of your ultrasound report?

If you are concerned about having cirrhosis, you should consult with a liver specialist (hepatologist). Your doctor did not do you any favors by discounting an ultrasound report without explanation.

You need to know where you stand.  Why are you having ultrasounds   and labwork every six months? A little background will us to help you. We are not doctors but have a lot of personal experience with this.
