Db  Thank you for this information about new staging, really interesting

bejeg, Lynn is right, you need to ask your doctor.  The best would be to avoid processed foods and only eat whole foods to nourish yourself.  Saying that I do take a multi vitamin without iron.  I also take calcium and magnesium

Bejeg:
I was told no Vitamin A, no Iron, and if you are end-stage, you really need to ask your doc. The only approved vitamin was D.

Are you stage 4 Hep C, or end of life cirrhosis?  The first, Hep C stage 4 means you have just gone from fibrosis to cirrhosis and does not mean you are immediately dying...there is a whole new scoring system for cirrhosis.    So if you are stage 4 Hep C, then you are just beginning life with cirrhosis. I was shocked when I found out there was a whole new scoring system!

Here is a great pdf toolkit all about Cirrhosis and how to deal with it from symptoms to food to medications.  For me it was like learning a new language and how to actually take care of myself.  It really opened my eyes!

Good luck and best wishes, dbz

As you have cirrhosis you should definitely ask your doctor what they recommend for you.
