Always having flu & cold

Hi Dr,

I have being having flu & cold symptoms since 3 to 4 years back till now, almost every 2 weeks I will have to go to the clinic and the doctor would give me antibiotic, medication for my flu and some pain killers for my body ache, this symptoms goes away when i have taking this medication but after that it will come back 1 to 2 weeks time, all the doctor that i have visited says that I am allergy to the environment. This has been going on for years now, please advice what should I do? I have also when to the hospital to  do a full body check-up and everything is fine according to the report. I am a thalassemia carrier, do this thalassemia have something to do with my flu symptoms? I have been taking folic acid for my thalassemia. Dr please advice, I am only 23+ years old and I would want to have a healthy life to cope with my lifestyle. Please Help!

Have you had labs done? Tested for hepatitis (which can look like flu symptoms)? Continuoulsy giving you antiobiotics isnt a really good thing to do, could lead to drug-resistant bacteria.
