Bad smell and taste

I recently treated my flu like symptoms with an antbiotic that I had left over from a tooth ache. The flu is gone, but now I have this awful taste and smell that seem to be forever etched into my sinuses.
Could this be from the medication that I took, and what can I do about it? The smell is awfull.

You should never ever self-treat with leftover antibiotics. Among other problems you probably won't have enough for a full course of treatment and may develop an antibiotic resistant infection. In case you are wondering, the end result of such an infection is often death. I urge you to see your family physician.
