Chronic Seasonal Cough

I have a cough that comes around every year around winter and spring time and it sounds like a smokers cough even though i dont smoke and the only thing i get is a cough and theres not fever or runny nose and it lasts sometimes for months. i feel perfectly fine except for the cough. i was wondering if anyone knew wat this is
