Cough & Mucus

For the past 3 months  I'm been coughing and have alot of mucus in the morning, after dinner & at bedtime. Sometime's I cough so hard I feel alot of pressure going to my head like it's going to explode. When I laugh, it makes me cough more. Salty mucus is what's making me cough. Almost every night I can't sleep until I spit all the salty mucus out.  My doctor prescribe me CHERATUSSIN, FLUTICASONE, OMEPRAZOLE, BENZONATATE, and IBUPROFEN but none of this help. Please help me.......

did you have a cold before all this coughing started? because i had a runny nose/sore throat cold and then that got better and the next week I got a horrible mucus cough that lasted for about 3 months. i eventually had to go to the doctor and she said i had a slight case of bronchitis so she had to give me prescription meds , that helped a little and a couple weeks later i was better. but sometimes those coughs can linger, i had it and when i laughed it would start a whole coughing episode, and nights were bad too. to help coughing at night sleep with 2 pillows, the more upright you are the less you will cough so dont sleep laying flat down. i would go to the doctor tho, but its completely normal.
