Cough for 2 months

Hi,

I had cold a month before, it started with sneezing and runny nose like normal cold and i didn't take any special medicine for that, after a week the cold stopped but the cough started. Whenever I'm affected by cough, i used to suffer for a week but It's been nearly 8 weeks i feel somehow better with my medicines prescribed by my doctors but still cough is not cured completely. i had Blood test, Sputum test and chest X-ray, everything is fine and my doctor said that there is still some sputum in the chest and it's normal only no need to worry but "expectorants" also not working to get the sputum out, sputum colour is light Gray. still taking my medicines but not cured fully. I'm not able to cough deeply it hurts in the Center chest. when i cough, feeling irritation between the chest and the throat then start coughing continuously. What is my problem. Please help me to find the problem... Thanks.

Hi, Ok I see your young, anything such as pnemonia (pneumonia) should have been fought off w antibiotics...

Have you been imunised for TB? been exposed lately (last 6 months -year)
I would hope drs have tested you for tb,,,,I am not certain of your countrys policy on vaccines.

Sputum in chest for 8 weeks is not normal unless you are a heavy smoker ...are you?     Grey is not a great color ,,,,about not being able to cough deeply and the area of chest that hurts...have you been x-rayed for plureasy? the pleura is sack that surounds lungs whn inflamed can cause pain.

Could be pharangitis- pnemonia (pneumonia)...IDK but I do know your symptoms merit attention, can you see a differect Dr?  do you have fever? hows the appetite, andenergy level?   try to use humidity in house,,if you do smoke...stop for now till you get a diagnosis on this.]

Hi,

No i didn't imunised for TB till now. Blood test is also says that thers is no TB symptoms.I don't smoke. I don't have fever yet. one thing i would like say here, i m having motion problem and it's not proper.will it create this kind of problems?
i can feel the throat being dried often, then the cough comes. if i drink plenty of water then small amount of (salty) sputum starts comming from the throat. but still not able to cough deeply.

Is it possible to get a referral to a pulmonologist (respiratory specialty)?  You symptoms have persisted for 8 weeks which would be of concern.

Thanks cherie and londres thanks for your suggestion the problem was because of Viral infection i took antibiotics  and feeling fine now. but I'm feeling so tired nowadays during evening times. can you help me to find out the problem.

The infection just probably took alot of you.  Let your body gradually build back up; listen to your body and try not to overdo until all this is resolved.
