As you have been ill for about 10 days and have started to wheeze now, I suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor to see if your lungs are OK.

It may be that the infection has gone down to the lungs and the doctor may decide that you may need an antibiotic.

If it is a virus, an antibiotic will not work.  Your doctor will decide whether you need an antibiotic or not.

In the meantime, do steam inhalations.  Pour in a kettleful of boiling water into a bowl (taking care not to get scalded).  Put in some Vick or Olbas Oil into the hot water.  Bend your head over the bowl and cover your head and the bowl with a towel.  Breathe in the steam through your nose and out through your mouth.  Do this for about 10 minutes duration 4 times a day if you can.  This will help to loosen up any congestion and also help you to breathe better.

You can take pain relief medications as prescribed on the packet to help to reduce your fever and help with any other aches and pains.
