H1N1/Walking Pneumonia

Both I and a Few individuals close to Me have Been Sick , I am fairing much worse than Family and Friends , since I have no Medical insurance . Can same please let me know if this may be a common side effect called , Viral irritation after a virus has run its course , We all stated out with the Same symptoms a dry cough , which gradually progressed to either H1N1 , or Possible walking Pneumonia , a few Friends and family had gotten better fairly Quickly after being prescribed azithromycin , I waited over a week before I seen a doctor , and was prescribed 250mg of azithromycin , I started feeling better after day 3 , Day 3 ,I woke up in the middle of the night completly soaked , i had a fever of 100.7 , and sweeted at least half a gallon of sweet , but then the next day I stated getting a dull pain on the right side of the lower back , then it progressed to middle of spine and left side of lower back which lasted a couple of days I believe it was a kidney infection , at the same time I developed Acute bronchitis symptoms a very labord breathing , and a wierd  rattling type noise , I gets much better after taking a very Hot shower , i think from all the dry unproductive coughing , which only produced a thick White mucus , i lost my voice which has been going in and out , a month later I have some pain when swallowing , and in the mornings I have a very weak voice , and Acute bronchitis symptoms , I tend to feel better during day until I drink cold beer or alcohol , I also may suffer from GERD , I work late at ight and eat meals before I go to bed , and have a drink or 2 , and sometimes I wake up with acid reflux .
My brother in Law , and a co worker have been Diagnosed with Walking Pneumonia , I feel it may be H1N1 , can some please let me know that azithromycin , is the proper antibiotic , and how long can symptoms last after a virus , I offten feel close to 100% better after a very hot prolonged shower , as it open up my airways , I have forgottent to mention , I developed a rash in the abdamone area when I first gotten sick , I have had a very healty appitite , But somtimes my troat hurts when swallowing a sharp dull pain on the right side if the adams apple area , Voice is still broken after one month , not a hoarse voice but a weak broken type voice , sometimes i cannot complete a word , it getts broken up .

It's important to determine if you have pneumonia or swine flu (or both). Pneumonia is a bacterial infection, but swine flu is a virus. Antibiotics are ineffective against a virus. They only work against bacterial infections. By taking an antibiotic when you don't have a bacterial infection you allow antibacterial resistant strains of bacteria to develop. This why Penicillan is no longer an effective antibiotic - it was over-prescribed to people that didn't have a bacterial infection.
