How long does long does loss of taste and smell last after taking Azithromycin zpac

Had severe sore throat for several days and doctor also said I had fluid in my ear and prescribed Azithromycin. By day four I noticed I had lost my sense of taste and smell. How long does this last

Sorry you got this side effect.  I hope you are at least feeling better!  The good news is that your taste/smell WILL come back. The bad news is that it can take up to a year.  Hope it is MUCH sooner than that for you though.  good luck
