I don't think this is the flu (my dad's symptoms)

My dad had a flu shot in November, so I do not think this is the flu. He is 52 years old.

He had his gull bladder removed(i'd say a year ago).

Today, he was getting chills(its 82 degrees outside) and had to wear a jacket. HE came home form work early, which says it musty be bothering him, because he has been a hard worker his entire life, and rarely took off b/c of illness. He is on the couch with a pretty severe pain in his left side along with a lump in the same spot, a headache, and he has been going to the bathroom to puke. He said he has been puking up a yellow substance that he describes as bile. Right when he said this, I thought of his gullbladder (gallbladder) being removed.

These are his words, but he said he pukes(he's making himself puke) becasue it makes his side feel better, almost like the pain on his side is form something filling up with something, and puking empties it out.

He just told me about 5 minutes ago that he is feeling better. I just wanted to get some opinions/suggestions.

Thanks!
