Is this normal for a cold/Strep throat?

Symptoms:
-Sore Throat (mild)
-White spot(s) (i got one that side of my mouth, it's not all the way back. it's infront of the thing that hangs down)
-Chest pain (servering mild case)

I have no tonsils nor do i have fever.

Is having white spots normal for a cold or strep throat?

Will it go away by it own?

You clearly have an infection in the throat and possibly the chest.

Drink plenty of warm fluids (avoid milk products as they encourage mucus).  Take pain relief in the recommended dosage on the packet.  Suck on throat lozenges for the relief.  You can also gargle with salty water.

And see your doctor so that he can examine your throat and chest, as you may now need an antibiotic.

Best wishes.
