Just a cold, or something more?

Hello
I'm thirteen, and a couple days ago i noticed an itchy red bump on my arm. it looked, and felt like a mosquito bite, but its to cold for mosquito's. By the end of the day i had several more on my neck, back and stomach. More appeared over the course of several days. They would get swollen, and then turn into scabs. they were quite sore when they were swollen, but in the early phase, and the scab phase, they were just itchy if something rubbed on them, like clothes. They were only from the waste up. I talked to my mom, who is a pharmacist, and she thought maybe it was an allergy or a virus, since I had the chicken pox vaccine several years back.

The first bumps have faded into little red dots, but the newer ones are still in the first phase, or the swollen phase. I've been getting bad chills, for the last two days. They feel like fever chills, but when i measure my temperature, it just comes up between 35.5 and 37 degrees Celsius. They seem to come randomly. The worst one was two nights ago, when despite the furnace on, and several blankets, i was shaking and my teeth were chattering. They seem to come randomly, and go away after 10 - 20 minutes. I've been feeling tired, and my muscles and joints are sore and i've a slightly sore throat. The only recent health problem i've had was an ulcer several months ago, which we 'think' is gone. other then that i've been healthy over all. I've never gotten chills like this without a fever, and i've never had a rash like this in my life. I'm not allergic to anything that i know of, and i'm not on medication.

Is it just some weird cold, or is it something else?
thanks.

Well, sounds to me like "hives" or "chicken pox" which is what your mom said.
