Sore throat lingers

First time in this forum so haven't even looked around yet at other threads.
This is day six of feeling it is a viral cold.    I had a scratchy throat to begin then it was more severe sore throat the next two days.    Then it was less sore but still hanging around.    It's been sore when swallowing and still is somewhat at times.    I had some running of my nose off and on.   I've had just a few bouts of mild congested coughing but nothing steadily.    No fever,  no chills.    
What do I most likely have?    Yes I realize that you cannot give a diagnosis in here but from your own experiences does it sound similar?
