Stomach flu

by badadee, Oct 21, 2007 05:34PM
i am 17 years old
I had stomach flu out of no where. My mom and I ate the same things but she didnt get stomach flu
Pepto bismol stopped diaherra (great), but I have been having headache and loss of body stregth.
I was told by my family doctor that it only lasts 2 to 3 days. I dont usually have a flu, so when this hit me, I really dont know what to do. I have a lot of exams coming up and I really need to study. Is there any ways that I can get better faster?

Stomach flu usually gets better quickly.  The most important thing to get better faster is to drink lots of fluids, preferably oral rehydration solutions like pedialyte, or if that's not available, gatorade or powerade.  Also get lots of rest.  That should help the headache and body weakness.
