Strep Throat

Wasn't sure where to put this. But I believe I have strep throat, and the doctor prescribed me antibiotics. It's been 4 days now, and though it feels better, my throat is still in pain. It hurts most in the morning and at night, while hurting very little in the afternoon. I looked at my tonsils in the mirror and they are still covered in white spots, even after 4 days of antibiotics. Should these be cleared up by now, or does it take longer? Keep in mind, it's been about a week since I first got the illness, and 4 days since I started antibiotics.
