When will I recover from flu.

I m a 34 yr old Indian working for BT and came few months before to UK on a working VISA. I got a flu 10 days back and i m getting fever up and down with eyes burning. I m currently taking Amoxicillin as an antibiotic as a doctor prescribed me and I m taking paracetamol 500mg whenevr i m feeling feverish. Please help as I wanted to know when will I get cured. It has been 3 days i've been taking these medicines. Before that I was taking paracetamol(500mg) and ibuprofen(200mg) each 3 times a day but no changes happened.Please help.
