Will I ever get better?

by Under_the_weather_Nessa, Jan 14, 2008 03:43PM
Hi,
I recently moved to a country which has a colder climate and have had terrible trouble over the Winter months. It seems like I have had a cold constantly for the past five weeks straight. Every time I seem to be getting better I come down with something new - runny nose, sore throat, cough, congestion, hot flashes, sweating. It never stops! Is there something wrong with me? I do tend to get cold freakishly easily, but otherwise I am a fit and healthy 26 year old woman who leads an active lifestyle - I do workouts at the gym and used to be a dancer. Can you suggest what may be wrong with me or what I should do?
Thanks,
Vanessa

Hi there is nothing wrong with you. I have had many colds for a long time. Sometimes your cold does not get better if there are ducts in your house which causes allergies and takes a long time for colds to heal. To get better from almost all flus you shoulddrink ALOT of fluids. But remember stay away from dairy products it will only make your cold worst. Some of the fluids I suggest are orange juice, water, and ginger ale. Remember all of these should be room temp. and not cold. Also get ALOT of rest. And try to eat warm foods like soup. If you follow what I wrote you will fell much much better!
