Hiatal hernia repair mid-November. It started with a cough..and ended that way. I have never been so sick. Its about 3 weeks now, since I was sick. About a week and ahalf ago, I saw our nurse here at work because I was still tired, worn out, and coughing. She said its commonCommon cold with the flu..and did hear "something" in my lungs...gave me a dosage pack of Prednisone to take, but I didnt. I dont like that drug!
My cough is almost gone...but..I have noticed, in the past week, that when I walk-especially outside in the bitter cold, even just from my car to my desk at work (its quite a walk) that I am a bit short of breath, and my chest...burns. Not really hurts...I have never had chest "pain"....but...this is the first time Ive had chest "discomfort"....
It goes away once I sit down. My job is sedentary...so basically I sit for 8 hours and go home.
Sometimes its not so bad, but like this morning...oh, it burned! I dont know what to think--could this be cardiac? Or a lung issue? I hate to call my cardiologist..I think he thinks im a hypochondriac that I was there to see him in the first place...
but..the short of breath has me scared..and the chest burning...

any ideas?
