change in voice due to cold

Iam a 39 year old man, hypersensiive I am taking amlodipine 5mg every day to check my bp. of late i hv been getting frequent cold , sore throat. The frequency is like once in every 2 months. right nw from past 10 days i am suffering from cold, sore throat. first 2 days i hv taken paracetamol because i had fever. after that i have not taken any medecine. nw no fever bt cold n flum comes out from my throat. flum has turned yellow after the third day. bt every time i have this type of cold my voice changes . it takes at least 10 days to com back to normalcy. pl adive me what to do and whom to consult

I'd be pretty happy to get a cold only every other month since i'm always getting a cold from my patients...

But enough about me...

10 days is kinda long for a viral infection.  If you have had fever and yellow phegm with hoarseness, go see your doc to see if this is bacterial.  Probably not, but why take the chance?
