chest pain

by elm800, Nov 30, 2007 02:12PM
this is my first time here.  I had brief head and throat pain a couple of days ago.  That went away yesterday but then now my chest hurts when I swallow.  This worries me because I'm not really coughing anything up, which means I'm not healing if I am sick, right?  Could this turn into something more serious?

It's unusual for your chest to be tender when you swallow, that suggests pain in your esophagus, the tube leading to your stomach.  Acid reflux sometimes causes discomfort there, but isn't associated with head pain, although it's sometimes associated with throat pain.  See your doctor
