deep breath pain

I'm currently getting over a cold, nothing major, just the normal runny/stuffy nose and headache type of thing.  It's been about two weeks and within the last week or so, I've noticed that when I take deep breaths, I get sharp pains in the upper right side of my back and into the front of my rib cage.  I don't really notice anything unusual when I'm doing any normal activities or even when I go running.  Only when I take deep breaths.  Could this be cold-related?
