hiya i hope this time someone can answer my question this time i gave a bj and then realised i have a coldsore could he have herpes and what are the chances he could get it and me
Cold sores are more often caused by Herpes Simplex Virus type 1, which is not a venereal disease, and not sexually transmitted. HSV1 is passed by casual contact, often by infected family members.
If a person had a "cold sore" after fellatio with someone with HSV2 I would worry about a HSV2 infection causing the "cold sore".
Your doctor can culture it, and examine it, and consider antiviral medications like acyclovir, famvir, valtrex to shorten the length of time with symptoms
