fever after 6 days
I was told last Wednesday that I had strep throat...a very early stage, no sore throat but a 102 fever. I was put on Zithromax. On Friday I still had a 102 fever and the sore throat developed and was horrible. I put a call into my doctor who said that I need to give the antibiotics time to work. It's now Monday - my sore throat is gone but I'm still battling a fever. Plus my chest is very sore - not when I take deep breaths but it feels more like a bruise - it hurts when I walk or move. I have not been coughing though. Any idea what this could be??

Fever persisting 5 days after starting azithromycin is not normal, you should get a second opinion
I forgot to mention that I've had a terrible headache along with the fever - the pain level is comparable to when I get migraines.
