flu shot / skin discoloration at injection site

i had a flu shot a week ago, a few days after i had the usual tenderness, and redness at the injection site, the redness has dulled own it's a week later, no more tenderness, however now i have a blotch of skin that is light pink / light purple in color.  i was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and now am i scarred?  frustrated. :(

It sounds as if you may have a slight bruise from the injection. Try warm water or call the person who gave u the shot
