flu symptoms

hi,
wondered if someone could help me. put myself in a risky situation 6 weeks ago by receiving unprotected oral sex. had a sore throat last week which is what made me test for hiv as i never suffer from throat problems. now i have a stuffy nose, sickness bringing up white bile, bit of body ache and very tired . any advice would be welcome.

If you had a throat infection from the fellatio 6 weeks ago, you wouold have gotten pharyngitis 6 weeks ago not now.

These are my symptoms - occasional fever, occasional stomach ache, tummy rumbling, diaherra (diarrhea), passing wind a lot and burping, blowing my nose which has a greeny/yellow discharge.

Whats your opinion?? I'm extremely worried about hiv.

Dear Doctor,

I have alot of symptoms  - sickness, swollen glands in groin, night sweats, diaherra (diarrhea), tiredness and loss of appetite. After researching these symptons could be linked to allsorts of different viruses but the thought of hiv is really digging into me now.

How reliable/accurate is the HDUO HIV testing which includes the p24 antigen test?? Also says instant HIV results are back within 60 seconds! Might travel there tomorrow and get tested if its gonna be worth while?

those are good tests.  pcr is better

i think you should save your money and wait a few more days.  it won't change your diagnosis.

your symptoms could be from many other things rather than HIV

ok doctor thanks. got my 34 day results back this week from a blood test and urine sample, which were negative for std & hiv.

Hi Doctor,
Never gone for a 3 month test. In my case, protected vaginal sex but recieved a blow job without a condom, is it worth another test? Got negative results back 34 days after this event, which were negative for std & hiv

Dear Dr.

I am 24 years old and have been married for 6 months. I recently got very sick and still am. I am very tired and feel "weak". I have severe stomach pain on the upper left side of my stomach. DStuffy nose and cough, mild sore throat, fever, and nausea. I was at the hospital and they did a strep screen. mono blood test, and CT scan and everything came back normal. However, I have never felt so tired in my life.

Based on my symptoms could it still be mono?
