my symptoms

Hi,

Had a stuffy blocked nose with occasional geen/yellow discharge, chesty cough and sore throat. I received, not gave, unprotected oral sex 5 weeks ago and because the symptoms of a cold and hiv are similar I am now worried!

I read on one site that the difference to disguish between cold/flu and early hiv is that you might have a cold like symptoms but not have any discharge or runny nose which i have had.

Anybody got any advice for me, please

Oral sex, fellatio, is unlikely to transmit HIV, but possible.

5 weeks later, you can test positive, I would go see my doc to get tested.

It's unlikely you have HIV, more likely a persistent cold, sinusitis, allergies, GERD or others.  Only your doc can tell you.
