staph and flu

by shady55, Oct 06, 2008 08:34PM
I have had MRSA for over a year now, and these past few months I have mostly gotten over it. (there are no skin condition/staph infection forums) so if anyone can help that'd be great. Anyway, back to my point. Just recently I noticed "people/kids dying from combination staph/flu infections." i.e. am I more likely to die if I have staph and the flu? I ask this because my mrsa has just reoccured, and is very small and only one bump. I want to go get a flu shot to prevent myself from catching the flu in the chance that I have mrsa surfaced, such as right now. But I am reluctant to go get my flu shot because I do have a mrsa infection currently. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
