swollen lymph node

I had a sinus infection and some kind of respiratory infection about two weeks ago. I took some mucinex and let it go away..... There is a swollen lymph node that took place at same time and has gone down but not completely disappeared..... It has stayed the size about the size of a pea.  Is this normal?

Yes this is totally normal. Lymph nodes produce the cells needed to fight infection and can become swollen even if we are not experiencing symptoms. They filter and clean the blood of dead cell debris. Our immune systems effectively wipe out most viruses we come into contact with. Swollen lymph nodes mean that they are hard at work.
