diabetic odor

my husband is a type 2 diabetic who drinks heavily and I have noticed an odor from him, shall I be concerned?
He also had high blood pressure and smokes cigarettes.

Hi,
Odor in a diabetic patient could indicate ketoacidosis. This can occur as a complication of uncontrolled or high blood sugar.
