Bowel obstruction or appendix

Bowel obstruction or appendix

I have been living with Crohns for 10 yearsnow and I have learned to trust my instincts when feel something is wrong.  For the past 2 weeks I have been nausea. I had pain in my right lower side but I didn't think anything of it. Yesterday I had really painful sharp stabbing pain in my right side. I couldn't even walk. I am not sure if I am getting a bowel instruction.  I am having gas and Sunday I did pass hard stool followed by diarrhea.  The area around my bellybutton hurts when touch as my right side.  I am not sure if it's a partial bowel obstruction or something else like my appendix.  I am wondering should I go to the emergency room?

Hi,
Crohns disease disease can cause bowel obstruction due to stricture formation.
Bowel obstruction usually presents with colicky pain, abdominal distension, vomiting and constipation.
Abdominal xray in erect posture will confirm the diagnosis.
So if you have the above symptoms report to ER to rule out intestinal obstruction.
