Campylobacter Colitis

I was in the hospital for 3 days this past week for rectal bleeding and pain, and was diagnoised with campylobacter colitis and treated with antibiotics, does this go away for good or is there a possibility of more problems associated with it?

Hi,
With appropriate treatment campylobacter colitis does get cured. The antibiotics that are generally used to treat this condition are fluorquinolone group of medications like ciprofloxacin or macrolide group of medications like azithromycin.
