Clostridium Difficile

I went into the emergency room in the beginning of August of 2009 for non stop vomiting, and blood coming out of my hind end. They said I had C Diff and treated me for a day, when a man from the department of infectious diseases came to see me. He tested my stool once and said I DIDN'T have C Diff and they sent me home. A few weeks later I was still having diarrhea and pains in my lower and upper abdomin (abdomen). They sent me to a specialist (Gastroenterologist) who did various stool cultures and a colonoscopy. I still HAD C Diff. I have been treated with flagyl three times, vancomycyn twice, once with the flagyl and the vancomycyn together, and various other medications. It never really went away. It is now the middle of NOVEMBER. I started haveing SEVERE pain and cramping, almost to the point I think about going to the ER because the pain and cramping is so bad. The doctor did three tests on my stool and the C Diff was positive AGAIN. I am now on Alinia 500 mg twice a day.
I previously worked at a vets office. The man from the department of infectious diseases thought that I got sick from there. I quit that job because I wasn't getting better.
I am in so much pain that I miss a lot of work at my new job. If I keep missing work they are going to fire me, but it doesn't seem like the doctor is worried at all about how much pain I am in. I have Hydrocodone for the pain but it is getting to the point that it doesn't help.
I am afraid something is getting damaged inside me, I don't understand why I am hurting so badly.
Is there anything I can do? Is there a possibility that it might be something else? I am losing faith in my doctor because he doesn't seem to care about my pain.
Can anyone help me? This has been going on for three months!!
