Is it colitis?

Is it colitis?

I am a 43 y/o f who has a history of localized pain that has been intermittent, but ongoing, since 2001.  In 2001 I lost 25lbs with no change in my diet, suffered debilitating abdominal pain, and bled internally with clear bruises on the top and insides of my thighs.  After numerous tests (blood clot testing, CT, ultrasound, colonoscopy, etc) it was determined that the pain was coming from my ovaries/uterus which were promptly removed (been on HRT since 2001).  Subsequent to surgery my pain was greatly relieved and the internal bleeding appeared to stop.  However, I still had sharp, very localized pain (same place) from time to time with BMs, in addition for about 3 years I would eat a meal and then race to the bathroom within minutes and have very watery stools that would go on for hours.  Within the last 3 months the sharp pain has increased but it appears to be mostly related to movement (walking, bending, etc), the pain can pulsate from 1-2 min up to 30 min and then the following day or two I will have black stool; additionally I now have those same bruises on the upper inside of my thighs.....So I know I am bleeding internally intermittently, but don't want to go through all of the same "inconclusive tests" (bc I don't have any female parts to remove this time and thats all they found last time) again; rather I'd like to find out it there are lifestyle changes I can make to prevent these occurrences....does this sound like colitis?  Oh and I don't race to the bathroom anymore after meals.

Hi,
These are not typical features of colitis.
The black stools you mention occur due to bleeding in the upper gastroinetstinal tract. An upper Gi endoscopy may have to be done to look for the lesions.
Evaluation by a Hematologist has to be done to find the cause for bleeding/ clotting disorder.
The increased frequency of stools after meals could indicate IBS. But to rule out colitis a repeat colonoscopy has to be done.
