Ischemic Colitis

by ncmomma, Nov 02, 2008 05:30PM
I was diagnosed with ischemic colitis two weeks ago and was hospitalized for four days. Still having pain on my left side but no more blood. I still feel "green". Why do I still feel like this and how long will this last? I am also very fatigued and have no energy whatsoever.

Hi,
Symptoms usually subside within 24 to 48 hours.
But complete healing may take 2-3 weeks.

If it is severe colitis healing may take 1- 6 months though you may not be symptomatic throughout.
