Mucous in stool/ diaper rash

by ik20, Jan 29, 2009 11:28AM
I just gave birth 6 weeks ago and for the past few weeks I have noticed mucous in my stool. I am breastfeeding and my baby has developed a diaper rash  along with a yeast  infection. The rash has been present for over two weeks. I have tried several over the counter rash ointments for her rash and have just begun using Monistat cream to treat the yeast infection. My doctor thinks she has a bacteria but can not say for sure. Does the mucous present in my stool suggest that I may have a bacterial infection that I am passing to my baby???
