alternative treatment for microscopic colitis

My mom has been diagnosed with microscopic colitis. Steroids have been suggested. Are there alternative treatments in addition to the diet changes? Does anyone know of Ayurvedic treatments?

Hi,
Fish oil is found to be effective in controlling inflammation.
In Ayurvedic medicine, Panchamrita parpati has been found to be useful in the treatment of colitis. Boswellia Serrata has been known to control symptoms in microscopic colitis.
