are colitis and gerd related?

I have been diagnosed with severe gerd and now with colitis, are these two related.  And would these cause pain in the center under the breastbone and on the right side?  Thank you for any help you can give me on this.  I am very fustrated.

Hi,
GERD can cause pain under the breastbone and on the rightside.
GERD and colitis are not related.
PPI and lifestyle modifications would be helpful for relief of GERD pain.
