continuous pains

I went to my doctor (md /internist) about two weeks ago with pain under the bottom of my left rib cage and down my left side. She saw a little blood in my urine at that time and sent it out for cultures as well as took blood. Both came back normal. After that she ordered chest xrays and a sonogram, both again came back normal. Her nurse called me on friday after receiving the last results and said she thought it was back pain and was prescribing me muscle relaxers and to call back next week and let her know if it was better. This to me sounds insane. I've told her countless times I can associate an increase in pain after eating. I have no back pain what so ever. I picked them up and even the pharmacist wanted to speak with me and make sure I understood if I tool them as prescribed I'd be sleeping for the next 5 days.
Does this sound normal? Should I seek a second opinion?

Hi,
Increased pain after eating could be due to gastric ulcer or pancreatic disease.
An upper GI endoscopy and a CT scan of the abdomen may be done for evaluation.

Irritable bowel syndrome and constipation can also cause pain in the location you have mentioned.
